Michelle Phan has made many makeup tutorials in her youtube channel and has over millions of views. She has over 230,000 subscribers in her youtube channel and 18,000 followers in her Twitter account while her Lady GaGa makeup video tutorial has over 6 million hits. Youtubers call her "Guru" or anyone who makes a makeup video tutorial. Phan gets money for advertising her makeup in her video tutorials and in her channel. The money she earned from advertising is enough to enroll herself in Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota which is an expensive school. She made her first makeup video tutorial in May 2007 for her friends until people subscribed to her and became a fan. She recorded her videos in her bathroom, porch and even sneaked in to a drug store to review a makeup. Phan's voice is so soft and relaxing. People always leave good comments like "your voice is so calming (: ", "Give me your skin", "This girl is Truly beautiful. Wow.", and more. It took a long time for her to believe it.
When Michelle Phan was 7, her father left his family for good and Phan said "If he's out there, maybe he'll be online and see me. I want him to come back. I want to take care of him.". She grew up in her Mother's salon and paints their costumer's nails. Her mother wanted Michelle to become a Doctor because of their situation. She went to dermatology at Tampa Bay Technical High School but Michelle knows that she won't be happy with that. So, Michelle explained to her mom about what she wanted to do and made her a promise that she will make it work.
INSIGHT
Michelle Phan's life is so inspiring, she deserves what she have right now because she is very talented. I have been a fan since I was still in High School. She makes really good video tutorials and people are right that her videos are very relaxing and her voice is so soft and cute. I am really happy for her that Lancome hired her to be their official Guru. Her videos are really professional and easy. I really hope that she won't run out of makeup tutorials, tips, and other stuff.
